We love hotel rooms with jacuzzis! Who would have thought, right? Having travelled the world and spent many, many nights in hotels we have come to appreciate a nice soak at the end of a hard working day in our room with a private whirlpool. Soon that affinity for hot bubbles extended to our holidays as well.
Immersing yourself up to your neck in a hot tub induces feelings of comfort and easiness, and that kind of security allows your mind, and subsequently your body, to relax.
There are many hundreds of hotels worldwide with either indoor or outdoor hot tubs, private or public jacuzzis – we are just scratching the surface with our selection of the most spectacular ones.
Quite often the more spectacular whirlpool baths can be found in hotel suites with a jacuzzi. Size is usually not an issue for the private jacuzzis in your hotel room – most of the time they are intended for two people. Public ones in spa or pool areas can be much bigger of course.
The main difference however, and for us one of the most crucial criteria, is the view you get when sitting in your tub. If you can look down on a bustling city, have an endless ocean view towards the horizon, are surrounded by majestic mountains or lush jungle, or witness a spectacular sunset over an enchanting landscape – this is what makes your jacuzzi spectacular.
In mountain regions like the Alps or Rockies you often find traditional hot tubs instead of electrical jacuzzis. Luxurious chalets and lodges are your best bet here. Some spectacular options are the Awasi Patagonia, Flocons de Sel in the French Alps, or the Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur.
